• What We Do
At a nominal weekly for small bars and more for larger taverns, a blue-jeans-and-workshirt-clad alcohol auditor brings his laptop, scale and scanner into a bar. He and sometimes his additional staff weigh and scan every bottle and keg for the week.

The computer, which stores the previous week's results and the company's sales, produces a spreadsheet that matches sales with usage. More importantly, it tallies what comes up short or as a surplus.

• Auditing and Inventory
The core of our production is auditing, but this is a full-on bar service. We continue to audit the bar every week, and can work with the owner or manager to organize the stockroom and even make up purchase orders every week to make sure the inventory is at a manageable level. What the bar owner is buying is the services of someone unbiased coming in and doing a full inventory that's going to be more accurate than any system you can buy out there if you do it yourself.
• Shrinkage
Although the audit may seem like a simple process estimates of the average shrinkage rate for bars and restaurants is 20% of gross national sales with a swing of 10%. ALP Services works with their client’s shrinkage to get a high of 5% shrinkage which could mean a profit increase by as much as 25% for poorly run establishments, and for well run bars an owner is still going see an increase of profits by an average of 10 percent.
